Default Parameter values in a parameter set

Hello Experts, My main requirement is Impact Analysis. I know that i can scan Osh files to list out jobs that use a particular object. Does anyone know where are the default values of parameters inside a parameter set stored at the server level? I could not seem to find it under the Projects directo...

Yes i did try that and it worked.

Is it possible to avoid passing those parameters for non-default ports?
Just curious to know.

DataStage Client Response Time

Does anybody use Nexenta Flash as their storage?

We have recently switched from EMC ISILON to Nexenta and post-that our datastage clients are responding really slow. Everything appears to be hung.

Does anyone has any experience with this new storage technology?

So IBM asked us to us LDAP using Federated Repositories. After switching to Federated Repositories our issue resolved.

IBM also said that they highly recommend Federated Repositories due to its scalability and ability to use multiple repositories.

Also, i have a doubt that what would happen to the default datastage admin user - dsadm which is a local OS user and not an LDAP AD user ?

Will we still be able to use this user to login to DataStage clients ?

Looks like a silly issue. Developers were changing the data type of a column (Varchar to Integer) at the output link of the SharedContainer.

Removed this and explicitly converted the value, seems everything is fine now.

I will mark this as closed.

Thanks Ray for replying. The issue itself is that i am not able to login to IIS Console. Though the IBM product documentations mention that the WAS user id is by default granted an admin role when you switch to LDAP. I tried listing out the access levels of the WAS admin id (the LDAP id) using the D...

Infosphere 11.5 - LDAP AD Authentication

Hello Experts, We recently installed Infosphere 11.5 on our systems. It is a WAS standalone configuration. The engine and services tier are on the same computer. We configured WAS admin console as described in the IBM docs to use LDAP. https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSZJPZ_11.5.0/com...

W ould also like to add that if i replace the Oracle Connector with a sequential file, then i can see correct records getting populated. The column A is defaulted to 0 for all values and not a white-space.

Job execution through shell script

When we run our sequences through shell scripts, sometimes the sequences run but the script returns a return code of 1 . Earlier i was under the impression that this was due to the high load that was exist...
