You can import from the source.
but I want them as rows and from source I can import them as rows only from system tables !!
I can also import column names as meta data-but whhat I asked is if I could use some tip in transformer to get column names in this stage??

The error message has nothing whatsoever to do with the key management functions, which uses persistent external storage. no, buffering is disabled! I'm sure that problem is caused by KEyMgtGetNextValue routine!! but why it worked fine and now it stop working?? I have no idea!

:) I solve it- I use KEyMgtGetNextValueConcurrent! but I am wondering why everything was all wright and suddenly my job stop working??

ds_ipcgetnext - timeout waiting for mutex

Hi,

I have got following error:

Code: Select all

Transformer_2.DSLink3: ds_ipcgetnext - timeout waiting for mutex
It is connected with KeyMgtGetNextValue and it came suddenly(earlier in my job everything works fine!!

What does it mean??What can I do to solve it??

changing target column names in many jobs

HEllo!

I must change target column names in many jobs, but I don't want that my defined derivations (in transformer stage ) had changed!! Do you know some tips, how to import and load new columns in a way that my old derivations became the same??

Topic: About "Use Account Name" option in Hashfile stage.

you can chose this option and then your hash file will be created in your project directory on server.

For example when you have project called "proj1" and you chose account name "proj1" your hash will be created in directory /Ascential/DataStage/Projects/proj1

but danger that your jobs fails still exist :(

I ask another question - is there in DS possibility that loading into IQ using IQ bulk plugin will be continued when there will be warning??
Now job stops when there is a warning!

try using ^ or ~ and see how it works
I can use any character and it will be working. Do you think that ^ or ~ is better character and there is less propability that you can encounter theese characters in strings writing by databases users??

yes it is!! but if I define delimiter character i.e. "%" or "," and someone use this character in varchar column problem comes back!!
