Can you give examples of what you get in ds when working directly with MySQL?
The mentioned link above shows resonable formats, though limited range for date related types, they seem like ODBC format, so I think you should be fine.

Did you get the file using FTP from the DS Server or from your PC?
It might be that your DS Server hasn't qualified a port for the MF yet.
Contacting your security personal might help resolving this.
In any case it has always been advised using the OS's FTP rather then the FTP stage.
