where is uv.rc located? is it different than $DSHOME/sample/ds.rc ?

no this is a fresh installation. the issue was resolved.

we are getting this error message through ds_connect
any thoughts on this error message?

Can we unlock DataStage jobs through scripts which runs the UV commands?

Is it possible?

well there was no one in, i ran the unlock all from UV.
so there is no question if anyone was in DS.
I again ran the reindex command but this time

DS.REINDEX DS_JOBS

then DS.REINDEX DS_JOBOBJECTS

then did count on both of them

opened the director and i can see all jobs.

dont know what heppend.

after the ds.checker and ds reindex all,
i am not able to see all jobs in client interfaces, there was no one in the project at the time of reindex and checker command,

i get records back after doing count ds_jobobjects and ds_jobs.

That means some other process has an exclusive file lock on that entry. Can you check up on who else is logged in? ... no one is in, i also did unlock all , right now performing ds checker command. Strange thing is when I did a COUNT DS_JOBOBJECTS, the client hung up on me and i had to close it. Wh...

i already tried running that from administrator, but nothing happened and the client hung up on me. (Not Responding)
