Mike,
I tried generating the code with
MFF--->Transfromer------------------>flat file.
multiple links here

It gives me the same error?? Its got nothing to do with link collector.Do you foresee problem elsewhere.
Thanks

But it works well for relational stage though????
I meant
linkcoll--------->lookupstage---------->bulk_load stage.

works well. It works even for realtional stage I think.
But it only doesnt work for flat file stage, all of them are passive stages.
Thanks

Will check the mainframe guide for system variables.

Hi Mike, I dont think it is link collector's problem cause it is working properly if I use relational stage infact It worked well if i use flat file stage after link collctor also but the problem is when i send this file to a lookup stage and us another flat file as target for this lookup i am getti...

Hi, not 390 expert but in general: AFAIK link collector is not ment to be used this way. link collector expects fluid input from all links according to the method used i.e. round robin. so try another design. IHTH, All input links to collector or fluid links. I want the source record to split into ...

Hi, I am trying to generate a code for a mainframe job. I got the above error. Can anyone help me debug this message please. multiple o/p links from transfomer to single link collector

Hi,
Can I have multiple o/p links from the single transformer to the same link collector? i.e., instead of having 9 different transformer I would like make necessary derivations in a single transformer and connect to link collector through multiple output links based upon derivations.
Thanks

containers in mvs??

Hi, I have thise big job which has like 9 transformers which almost do the same kind of work, I wanted to construct a container but I dont see any container stage in designer. Is it not available in mvs edition for mainframe jobs? Also I wanted to know can we use system variable like @INROWNUM, @OUT...

Hi,
There is one code which validates all the date formats, this occurs almost in every stage. I wanted to know if it is possible to create a routine for that and we could just call a routine from the derivation.
Thanks

writing a routine in datastage mvs

Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible to write a routine in MVS edition as in server edition, which can be called in derivations in transfromer stage.
I have this doubt bcoz routines are to written in BASIC but MVS need COBOL code.
Thanks

Re: Report Generation/Documentation

already developed and run successfully
I meant there jobs which are already developed and implemented might as well be in Mainframes. But I just need the documentation which shows various details of job design like mappings, constraints, derivations.

Report Generation/Documentation

Hi,
I was looking for a way to get the documentation of the jobs that are already developed and run successfully so that I could have a look at it.
There is "reporting assistant" in the manager but it doesnot help much.
Can any one tell me how I can do that.
I am datastage mvs.
