I need a DSX-Cutter
Hi all,
As said in this thread: viewtopic.php?t=85488
...what I need is a DSX cutter: a little program to cut a DSX file in smal pieces: one file for each object.
A program in Perl would be great because we can integrate it with our versioncontrol tool.
tia,
Victor.

A script to export individual Datastage components?
Hello everybody, For the reason of interfacing datastage dsx files with our sourcecontrol tool, I would like to be able to export all datastage components in my project to SEPARATE dsx files. This would enable us to control the versioning of each individual component. Doing this exports manually is ...

ParamValue is appropriate (pathname parameter)
Hello all, I have a routine that returns a path+filename. This is used as a parameter for a subsequent job. When I write this parameter to the log with UtilityMessageToLog, I see a correct path+filename. The problem is that the job that uses this as a parameter returns with an error "ParamValue...

Reading rows from and adding rows to a hashfile in
Hi all, With the risk of asking a stupid question: I am designing the surrogate-key mechanism for a dimensional model. I did put my keyvalues in a hashfile with the idea to make it as fast a possible. I use a transformer stage to determine the new keyvalues to be inserted into the hasfile with this ...

DS: all in one project, or separate projects?
Hi all, I am an experience DWH-developer/architect (in the business since 1991), but new to Datastage (only basic training in server and parallel extender). I am now working on the startup for a large data warehouse: it will be the central DWH for an insurance company with 5500 employees. At the mom...
