I am looking for the stop and start procedures. IBM Documentation has something like below Stop DataStage Engine - No confusion here Stop the ASB Agent - No confusion here either Stop the WebSphere Application Server (WAS) In WAS Console, Servers > Clusters > WebSphere Application Server clusters , ...

This is how I would like the environment variables to work on a DataStage grid shared by three teams. The behavior below is what I have observed. It's possible that the behavior could be different based on some configuration settings (that I am not aware of). Requirement Do not want to define team s...

DataStage - Using Environment of executing user via .profile
Only way I could do make this work is with -local on dsjob and changing directory to the project directory.
What's behind the restriction of have to be in project folder to accomplish this?
Are there are disadvantages in executing from the project directory?

Thanks Paul and Franklin for quick response! Our environment is still being built and I have a few questions. What DataStage User ID to use when kicking off jobs
We need to kickoff jobs from a non-DataStage server. DataStage is installed on a RHE Linux Grid. I think using dsadm is not a good idea. Especially if multiple teams are sharing the grid. Please let me know what you are using in a similar situation (grid or otherwise). Also, is using dsadm a common ...

Any specific issues you have run into? Do you also use Control-M Archive? If so, are the DS logs available in Cont...

DataStage Grid - Where to run dsjob & non - DS - Head No
In an environment with a DataStage 9.1 grid on RHE Linux and shared by multiple teams within the entire IT, where do you run the dsjob as well as non-DS scripts? Please consider the following - Only one active head node Run thousands of DS jobs a day (if the same DS job is run 20 times a day, i am c...
