Yes -- it looks like the environment is loaded -- I am not the server admin-- but is there a way to restart DS in Linux , like a command to issue?

I also need to inquire about if the server admin even installed Oracle -- I have my doubts :)

The dsenv file specifies the LD_LIBRARY_PATH and it has $DSHOME/lib in there .. and the dsstpora.so file is in the LIB directory.

Could not load dsstpora.so

Has anyone seen this error before? We installed DS on a new Linux server, and now get this message when running a job. ( in the log ..)

Any help is appreciated.

I Found the problem -- the OBDC Source via Win2K did not have a TSN source name in the field - it was left blank !

When importing ODBC tables -- get the 12560 error - Protocol Adapter Error .. Running Oracle 9 on Windows 2000 server.

I fixed it -- it was a permission problems in Windows - I went to the Oracle folder - went to security permissions, selected Authenicated Users, uncheck the the permissions, applied the changes, then rechecked them again, applied the changes, and rebooted.

Works fine now ! Only in Windows.....
