When you installed did you choose IS Registry authentication vs. OS and LDAP? If you did then the folks that talk about the IS Console are correct. If you chose OS or LDAP then you have to create Users elsewhere than in the Registry.

Did you go into the IS Console and add the Domain and roles for dsadmin? After that did you go into DS Admin GUI and add dsadmin with the Developer role? Is the WAS and DB2 Repository and ASBNode process running?

After all that you should be able to authenticate.....

No SFTP in pre-IS 8....IS 8.0.1 will now provide SFTP option...... 2.I want to know if we can ftp to a linux box ... Of course 3.can...

Another idea would be to place a Trabsform after the database read with a Constraint that said @INROWNUM=0 then you can abort or stop processing of the Job or even the Sequencer.

Just to repeat what I said "Job Design and its associated Executable and import into TEST or PROD. You need both and you do not need to compile in TEST or PROD. ". This means bringing the executable over means no recompile is required. In DataStage Export GUI you will see Job Designs, Exec...

Teradata Mload Stage is not parallel but serial so you get serial performance.....You entering a serial process in a parallel Job so not surprised your performance suffers....If you want performance you need to move the Teradata EE Stage....

First, if you compile in DEV then you would export the Job Design and its associated Executable and import into TEST or PROD. You need both and you do not need to compile in TEST or PROD. Second, if ther eis an issue in TEST and PROD then you need to go back to DEV, change, compile and redeploy. Thi...

Fork() error implies the Resource Manager of the server could not accomodate the demands of the Job and thi sis caused by: 1. Not enough swap space (real memory has nothing to do with it) 2. Decrease the degrees of parallelism such as run as 2node.apt vs. 4node.apt.... 3. Stagger the scheduling of J...

What is supported is Studio .NET 2005 C++ and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2005 Express Edition C++ but it has to be the full load libraries or the run-time version is not enough.

IS will pick up the paths automatically if you chose the suggested installation paths vs. overriding.

Well all the import options you selected bypass the Oracle Cliebt. Can you import via orchbuil? If not then I would refer to the install guide and assure the UserID you are using has the correct priviledges and DSXE role established.

I don't believe your Project is corrupt and that you have to recreate...Just do a UNLOCK AL and then re-index and I'm sure your fine.... The tar backs up the filesystem which is the Project and all its files and you recover the entire Project.....The dsx backs up the Job designs, objects and so on w...

If there are any outstanding locks then the re-index does not work. Unlock then re-index.
