Re: HASH.HELP stops
Is your static hashed file anywhere near 2GB in size? :? Yes. I guess that's the problem then. Just out of interest. Are static hashed files bigger than dynamic hashed files. I was able to create and test the same file as a dynamic hashed file without any issues, or was it just pure luck? Thanks,

HASH.HELP stops
Hi All, Happy 2007! I have been running tests in regards to a big hashed file that we are working with. [45+ million rows, key=varchar(20), data=integer] I have used various configurations with varying results. As part of the testing, I have created the file as a dynamic hashed file with default set...

Hi, After running a couple of jobs, I can't reproduce the problems.:? It seems to be the environment that is unstable, and not necessarily the DataStage Sybase Stages. We are in the process of moving to bigger and better, and hopefully more stable boxes. If the issues re-occur, I will resume testing...

FYI I was on a project where we were sourcing from DB2 on mainframe. But in our case, we got data dumps from the mainframe in the form of flat files. These we read using the complex flat file stage. This stage has the relevant datatypes to allow you to read packed decimals. I know this is not a solu...

Thanks for the responses. How are you using the Sybase plug-in to generate the SQL? Did you look at using column derivation-based generated SQL? (check the box on the output stage tab) If you tried putting the MAX(...) on the derivation column, it doesn't work without checking this box. The derivati...

DataStage 7.5.x with Sybase IQ 12.6 on Linux
Hi, As far as I know (after searching the forum) this has not being covered before. We are able to connect to the IQ database using both ODBC and Open Client. The Sybase Open Client is behaving rather strangely. To just list a couple of scenarios: Have a Sybase OC Stage connecting to a table and doi...

Creating job from template
Hi All, When creating a job from a template, you are requested to enter a job name for the job being created. If underscores are used, the 'Alphanumerics and Spaces are not allowed in job names' error is returned. Is this a known issue? Because on completion [with the underscores removed] , I can re...
