Dear Kumar_s, the symptom is the following: we run a job using dsjob from shell script on an AIX system. The job finishes successfully, but the "Missing StringID" error is returned to the shell script. This error occured permanently for different jobs. We think that it should be related so...

Curious. "2046" does not appear in the source code for dsjob (see Appendix A, Server Job Developer's Guide ). The only 2046 in the resource table (DS_RESENU) carries the message "finished wa ... It is in uvsh: strings -a /opt/dstage/Ascential/DataStage/DSEngine/bin/uvsh|grep StringID...

Hi, Isn't the "date that needs to be between two date fields in the hashfile" always the same date during one run of the job? In that case you can filter the hashed file by the date and create another (temporary) hashed file which is keyed only by the first (non-date) column, and use that ...

Okay, the problem was that after editing uvconfig I forgot to uv -admin -regen

In the end

T30FILES 600
DISKCACHE -1

solved the problem.

Cleaning up all the hanged jobs was an annoying job though.
