I have managed to fix the first problem with the DSJobReport. The separator is a ; not a : (as indicated by the IBM documentation )

I will discuss our full needs with the team over the next week and formulate a response.

I am trying to delete a datastage category using Istool (having previously deleted the file).

Is it possible to delete (or even rename) categories in the repository using Istool.

I like the idea in istool of exporting by category and including dependant objects but creating separate files that can be archived correctly.
