Found the resolution!! In the uvodbc.config file after the DBMSTYPE = ODBC, please type <ENTER> and it works!! :o

Yes, I can ping the 18.37.20.20 from the DataStage server and it is the correct port because I tried accessing the SQL Server database through the Query Analyzer (Microsoft SQL Server) and it works perfectly fine.

Forgot to mention that I have edited the uvodbc.config file in the DSEngine folder and also in the Project folders.

AS400 Configuration

We need to setup a connection to the AS400. I have read from the previous forums that using the DB2Connect is the way to go but what are the configurations that we need to set and DB2Connect plugin does come with DataStage as well, rite?

Retrieving info from sequential file

An ETL job was developed to read from sequential file, which has 50,000 records. This job runs for about 1 1/2 hour and I would want to know is there a way to make the retrieval of data from the sequential file to be quicker?

I seem to have encountered an error while exporting executables in the DataStage Manager (Export > Executable Job )

Run-time error '457'

The scenario is that we are reading from a CSV file and loading into a Oracle table and this error occurs. What do you think are the possibility of the problem? We have checked for the datatype and everything seems alright.

Thanks, chulett but sad to say, PX doesn't have the option in the Oracle stage. :( Anyway, changed the fieldname to a non-reserve word in Oracle.
