Found the resolution!! In the uvodbc.config file after the DBMSTYPE = ODBC, please type <ENTER> and it works!!

Yes, I can ping the 18.37.20.20 from the DataStage server and it is the correct port because I tried accessing the SQL Server database through the Query Analyzer (Microsoft SQL Server) and it works perfectly fine.

The scenario is that we are reading from a CSV file and loading into a Oracle table and this error occurs. What do you think are the possibility of the problem? We have checked for the datatype and everything seems alright.

if it is in executable format, what do we do about it? since it is not compilable. still shutdown and export the exe files out?

Thanks, chulett but sad to say, PX doesn't have the option in the Oracle stage. Anyway, changed the fieldname to a non-reserve word in Oracle.
