Kim, the 'buffering' issue *was* a performance related server side bug with row buffering and is unrelated to anything crashing on the client side. And 7.5A is older than 7.5.1x, so that fix would be incorporated in the version you are running. What is the most recent version of DataStage? Is it 7....

Re: Very Slow performance - Table to table data transfer

I have a job that moves data from one oracle table to another oracle tables. The datastage server and oracle server are physically different. I am getting a speed of only 100 rows per second even if it is a simple transfer of data. I have OCI -> TRANSFORMER -> OCI stages. The transaction size has b...

dsmsdbl.dll is NOT a SQL Server client dll shipped by MicroSoft, rather this is shipped as part of DataStage and should be found in the engine\bin directory. The properties state - DataStage DB Library bulk loader for Microsoft SQL Server Copyright (C) 2004, 1997 - 2003 Ascential Software Corporati...

Check your ds_loadlibrary settings. That will be different. I was looking through help for BCP Stage. ____________ Note: The client libraries used by the BCPLoad stage are not supplied as part of DataStage. You must obtain these libraries from your DBMS vendor and ensure they are installed and conf...

At your MS-DOS command prompt,
type telnet
and then say open hostname(your DataStage Server Host)
when prompted enter your username and password.

Could not load dsmsdbl.dll

We are trying to test few jobs on a New Server.

One of the job failed with the following message:
Jobabc..Sybase_BCP_Load_0: Could not load dsmsdbl.dll
The job is loading to SQL Server database using BCP stage.

This same job ran fine on a different server.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in Advance.

Re: Notification Activity

Hi I am using notification activity at the end of my sequencer to send email. I do not want to hard code my mail server and email address as it may change. I thought that I could create a parameter in sequencer properties and put that in the mail server name and email address. For e.g. #Mail_Server...

Hi Kim,

Is there any limit on no of versions a job can be there in VersionControl tool?

Since VersionControl is moving different job contents,
we are curious like any pointer issues internally or something else.

Thanks in Advance.
