Thanks 1stpoint.

I had the odbc drivers installed already. But I didn't know that I needed the Progress Client installed as well. It doesn't make sense to me.

I have all the permissions that Ray and Ketfos suggested.

Someone told me last night that I needed the Progress database installed on the DataStage server. Can someone confirm this?

I think Ray meant for the "Months" to be a variable to store the number of months to increment the current month. So, if I'm correct, you can replace the "6" with "Months". A negative second argument is to subtract months from current month. Also, don't you need a "...

Chuck,

I don't quite understand your method. My Unidata file is remote to my DataStage server. The TRANS I-type will retrieve a record from the remote server. I don't want to write to the remote Unidata server. I want to keep the LastRunDate local to the DataStage server.

Does anyone know if there is a DataStage variable that stores the entire Unidata record so that I can use it in a pre or post stage process?
