Also it wo...

I had a similar issue with large XML files, ended up using SED/AWK as noted, that could be your best workaround. ( The XML input stage terminated abruptly)

Cant you call the perl script using a before job routine (ExecSH) and write results to an intermediate file? After that the job can process your file..

My prediction - "Oracle will acquire Informatica"
No - Im not a clairvoyant..

The date of Ray's post ( or the news 'announcement') was a dead giveaway, however I really have to appreciate the effort.

you will need to have 1 default value populated in the file that supplies the list like 'XXXX-X-YY', and in the nested condition branch the execution to a different sequence if StartLoop.CounterValue = ''XXXX-X-YY'' , alternatively , you can load the list to an user variable activity and use an If t...

A list loop expects values , you cannot have an empty list, what you can do is to populate the list with a default value in case the list is actually empty and use a nested condition activity that reads the list (counter) value and directs an appropriate sequence of jobs to run

Most executable files in $DSHOME/bin implement an equivalent UniVerse Comand at the OS Level, but I doubt if its all documented.

for example the smat OS command implements someting nearly equivalent to the SEMAPHORE.STATUS UV command.

Im not really sure, but you can check if Dialog font settings in Windows registry can be changed, im my opinion it may not work on dialog boxes of datastage. navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWAREMicrosoft\Windows\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\FontSubstitutes and try setting MS Shell Dlg or MS Shell DLg...
