I want to recreate the project with the same name as the back up file is corrupted.

How do i do as administrator says that project already exists.

Unable to delete project in adminsitrator

Hi,

My Unix project directory has been deleted.

i am trying to delete the project name using the administrator .

I am getting an error message

Direcotry you are connecting to either is not a UV account or does not exists (39125)

How do I delete this project in datastage?

Hi Ray,

You are correct.
I went to the table definitions - import table definitions - import Universe table definitions - selected the table and was able to import the definition and see it in the localuv tab.

This is what I did I logged into administrator (8.1 datastage) and ran the following command CREATE TABLE "testseq"("Seq" NUMERIC(11, 0) NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY, "Uniondata" VARCHAR(70) NOT NULL); Now in my job if I try to view data in this stage, I get a message - No data...

One of job uses a table claimseq defined under data source localuv.

How do I find this object in the repository?

Hi,
I can connect to the database through my Unix server on which datastage is installed.

The problem comes when I try to connect through datastage.
The dba cataloged the database.

What is command for catalog tcp and bind?

Hi Ray,
I manually entered the name of the DB2 Database name in the Server name field, followed by user name and password the Db2 database.

It still gives the same error message after I click Next Button

Unable to obtain list of available DB2 servers"

This is is the first time we are using UDB

I can select the DB2API stage from the palete and add to the job.

The problem has been resolved. I was trying to create project under / root folder. i did not have the permissions. however I had permissions to create in the project folder. After changing the path, I was able to create the projects. Ray had rightly mentioned that it was permission problem. Thanks K...

I am able to create a file in the project directory using unix command touch.
The directory is currently 5% full.

Anything else needs to be looked into.
