With release of Datastage 8.7, how does it makes it different from other leaders like Informatica?

You can use @null function in the transformer for this column
It will insert value in the table for teh date field ,if it allows null values.

How do I pass the name of the project as parameter?

I ahve before job routine where I am calling a Unix script.

e.g /ddata/wstestproj/a.sql

wstestproj is the name of the project.
I do not want to use absolute name, else script will fail when I promote to another project.

We have Datastage Server Edition 8.1 License on Unix
When I view the following folder
/opt/IBM/InformationServer,
I see two sub folders
PXEngine and Server.

What is PXEngine folder?

My question is not on the client for dS 8.1 and ds 8.5
My question is can we install the server for both ds8.1 (server edition) and ds 8.5 (parallel edition) on the same server.

I undersand using the mutil client we can switch the client from one version to another?

We are planning to install Datastage Enterprise edition 8.5.

Can Datastage Server Edition 8.1 and Datastage Enterprise edition 8.5 co-exist on the same Unix Server?
