you have to use either an ODBC stage or a universe table. That is correct. As far as I know, all other stage types can only return zero or one rows. In fact, in some versions of the ORAOCI8 stage, returning more than one row will generate an Oracle error as the OCI stage has explicitly asked Oracle...
