Doesn't matter what your limits are in the Director or Administrator when you run the job from the command line and use the -warn parameter. :? So, unless we are running into a bug, there must be something in your job that is overriding your command line option. You didn't answer when Ray asked &qu...

Problem with Warning limits - Yes, I know it's an old topic!
I'm having a problem running a particular job in a Sybase ASE database - It aborts after 50 warnings relating to duplicate keys. 1. The tracing limit on the job page is set to No Limits. 2. The tracing level in Director is set to No Limits. I run the job from the command line: dsjob -run -warn 0 DEV...

SQL Statement Length Limit - Resolved
At one time there was a limit in the Sybase API of an 8K sql statement. What does Sybase support say? Many thanks for your suggestion. I reworked one of the jobs we were having problems with, substituting an ODBC stage for the Sybase_OC stage (as we were able to run the query via ODBC using WinSQL)...

Re: Is there a limit to the length of the SQL Statement?
Hi Pete, According to the Oracle9i Server Reference Guide: SQL Statement Length: 64 K maximum; particular tools may impose lower limits. Kris~ Thanks for the info Kris. I didn't mention in my original post, but we're actually running on Sybase. The issue we actually have, though, is that the SQL ru...

Is there a limit to the length of the SQL Statement?
DataStage Server Edition 7.5.1 Hi There, I'm wondering if anyone can provide an answer my question (in the subject line). I've seen some references to the issue on this forum, but no answer to the question. We've encountered this problem recently when using a Sybase_OC stage. It wasn't possible to b...

Job Sequence crashes Designer - Any ideas?
DataStage Server 7.5.1 UNIX on SUN Solaris Windows 2000 Client When creating/editing Job Sequences in Designer, the Designer application is crashing with EXTREME regularity...an activity stage is opened/closed. We have got into the habit of saving after every change, but this still occurs: DSDesign....

How to access Sybase ASE and IQ databases in one job
Hi there, My client is wanting to create jobs that source data from a Sybase ASE database (version 12.5) and load it into a Sybase IQ database (version 12.6). We were planning to use the SYBASE OC plug-in stage to access the databases. The problem appears to be that the SYBASE environment settings i...
