Tostay2003, Can you send me a private message (or post it if you like) with your contact information? I want to start to build a network of folks using this combination of tools so that we can exchange notes on issues and workarounds. Is there a server version of the stage? I was told that they just...

Thanks for the advice. I did search and sent a personal message to the only other poster that mentioned Netezza (besides those looking for skills).

Anyone else with Netezza and DataStage?

All,

We are running Netezza with DataStage and want to get a better feel for how many other folks are in the same boat. Considering the number of issues we are seeing with the Netezza plug-in I feel like we are the only ones running the plug-in.

For a disaster Recovery project we have been asked to install DataStage on to a SAN drive. A team member tried - and the result is that the Datastage installation software will not allow installion of the server software to a network drive (i.e. it will only accept a local drive.) Is there anyway a...

Re: ILOG ,DATASTAGE integration

I know a former Ascential consultant that had stated that they built a custom Server stage for a client. I believe that there was some talk about offering it as an additional PACK or optional plug-in. I would ask your local sales team to see if there is something that the Advanced consulting group h...

The reason I ask this question is that I heard through others that the Windows based DS is not as stable as the Unix based software. If DS works well on both OS's, then we will make the decision based on cost factors. We just want to make sure that there are no surprise down the road due to the OS....

Re: Extract COBOL file data using CFF

Can any one give suggestion how to extract data from EBCDIC file with multiple redefines columns. Does Datastage CFF support this type of structure? Thanks Narayana This is exactly what the CFF does. It is best if you have a COBOL copybook to import the file definitions from. The stage is a little ...

I have been using mine for a while and have thought about changing it. Of course that would be to another Douglas Adams quote.
