status

thanks for the update/info
In director : job : stop is active but reset is gray = not selectable
we tried stop = server was informed, but did not change the status.
Any other way to reset the status (maybe on engine machine ?)
Thanks and Best Regards, Guy Przytula

compacted ascii data

I used the technique with InString = OCONV(FByte,'MB0C') F1 = ICONV(InString[1,4],'MB') F2 = ICONV(InString[5,4],'MB') or with Ans = OCONV(FByte,'MP') in both cases, this is correctly done, but not correctly if input keeps the digit 9 or 0 eg. half 12345678 --> converted is correct as real 12345678 ...

Running/Restartable job hanging

we have ds on solaris and had a problem with priviliges on solaris. the job was aborted, but a sub-job (called from previous job) stays in status Running/Restartable. Thanks for this update. Yes, I changed the metadata to char for this bigint column and this corrected the problem.
I will continue with ascential to see if this is correct.

Sorry, we are talking about DB2 for the moment.
The size of the field is large enough : 11 digits and bigint can keep 19 digits..
putting in a char field is no problem : length11 and correct

Thanks for the info, but this is not the problem.
It seems that data is converted to numeric like if you use date from character you also get a numerical value instead..
Hoping for other ideas
