I got an email invitation thanks to DSXchange. Look in your DSXchange profile if you're not sure what email address to check. I assume if your DSXchange profile is linked to an email address you never check, then you're not going to see the invitations. There is always the chance too that such email...

The built in List parameter type lets you hard-code multiple values, but only allows you to choose a single value at run time. A related disadvantage of that approach is that any time a location is added or removed, you have to re-hard-code the values, re-compile the job, and perhaps have to re-prom...

We don't generally run into that problem but we don't run our servers on Windows either. I would be mostly suspicious of any kind of security software, especially anti-virus software running scans on your clients, or even worse, on your server. My next suspicion would be gremlins on your network. Ye...

Perhaps one record contains non-printable control characters or the ASCII NULL character 0x00 which is often introduced by DataStage due to the default setting of the project environment variable APT_STRING_PADCHAR. We always override the default setting at the project level by using 0x20 instead, w...

My only ideas may be long shots... It seems like Information Server does a lot of self-talk. Is there any chance a firewall is blocking some of the self-talk from the server back to itself on the new IP address, or perhaps one of many DNS servers is out of sync and needs the new IP address plugged i...

Web-based user interfaces eliminate a lot of installation and maintenance headaches (and organizational process and delays) and makes it so much easier to quickly expand usage out to new users, including a wider variety of users as well, beyond the DataStage developers. They also mentioned consolida...

The DataStage Flow Designer looked great! It has a very nice, similar look and feel to the IA thin client and to the original Designer. As an Admin, I am most excited about not having to take time and effort to keep all the client tiers updated and in sync with all the fix pack and patch levels. It ...

Sure. Search on your error here. Search also on the IBM Support Portal if needed: https://www.ibm.com/support/home/ If your results are slim to none (as they are with the error you detailed) or results are off base, then contact Support. Assuming your support is directly through IBM then you can use...
