Moving from SUN to AIX

Hi All, Existing: We have DS 7.1 on SUN OS. Proposed: 1). We have new AIX box with DS 7.5.1a on it. 2). Move all projects from DS 7.1 on SUN to DS 7.5.1a on AIX box. Anybody has experianced any issues doing this kind of upgradation, I found DS Install & upgrade guide is useful if you are upgradi...

ArndW, 1. As I said earlier I haven't developed any code. but I was looking at Oconv/Iconv and conversion codes logically. 2. Sorry if I am not clear, ex: 05/28/1964 00:00:00 - 05/28/2004 00:00:00 = 40 years My requirement: 1. Derive no.of years between two dates 2. I have to consider Month, Day and Year to derive no.of years between two dates.

Arnd,
I havent' really developed any code but I was looking at Oconv/Iconv and conversion codes logically.

Hi All, Any idea as how to find no.of years between two dates using in DS server. START_DT END_DT 09/05/1966 00:00:00 06/22/1984 00:00:00 07/24/1964 00:00:00 12/03/1972 00:00:00 05/31/2004 11:32:22 02/02/2006 08:22:10 I tried to play with Oconv / Iconv but I couldn't. Thanks srimitta

I checked with DBA, encrypted data is going into those feilds with varchar2 data types.

And varchar2 is srting data type we shouldn't have a problem :D .

Encryption

Hi All,

Anybody have any idea whether we can use DS 7.5.1a Oracle plug-in's to load encrypted data into Oracle 10G r2 database tables.

we are looking at field level encryption (feild data types are of Numeric and decimal).

You are trying to read data with less no.of columns in FF stage column grid.

Means: No.of columns in file are not matching No.of columns in FFstage column grid.

I am getting this error if logon using Username / Pwd.

I am able to logon if I check Omit box to logon using NT credentials, and also I am fine logging onto DS server using Telnet services.

any idea, meanwhile I will try searching for similar posts.

RPC daemon

Hi All,

I am enclountring error while connectiong to server, any idea where I need look into!.

Failed to connect to host: FSS06, project: slaes_dev
(The connection was refused or the RPC daemon is not running (81016))
