I've encountered same issue on client site with SSL service tier connection. I was able to import normal Ext. Data Source assets via istool see (http://datastage4u.wordpress.com/2012/09/15/istool-command-line/). Unfortunately I cannot import Custom Attribute Values belonging to EDS in either Workben...

Really very good thoughts regarding performance. Column analysis is not that slow, took around 2-3 hours to finish all of them. I didn't feel anything strange in column analysis. Now, I can go to Column Analysis, the view detail to see FD. Summary Statistics report is not that slow, just checked the...

Around 20 tables, however, most of them are very small. The big tables only have around half million rows. maybe around 400 rows of these 20 tables are profiled. It is a good idea that I may should tick off some columns not very meaningful. However, at this stage, I just want to take a rough look at...

It takes extremely long time to run IA reports
I am profiling my database in SQL Server 2008. Column analysis is finished OK, then I am using report template to generate some profiling reports. However, these reports takes extremely long time to finish. Some of them take around 2hours. All Frequency distribution reports, they might be big, they ...

How to read data from IADB
I want to write a program to extract profile data from IADB, then generate my own report on top of it.
Anyone know the metadata of IADB ?
Just connect to IADB, heaps of strange table names.

XML Stage Producing Malformed XMLs
Hi all, I'm using Datastage 8.5 fp1 and I'm running into an odd issue where the new XML Stage generates malformed XML documents which do not conform to the xsd which I fed it in the Composer. The XSD itself isnt terribly complex though it is quite large and has ~200+ fields - with a total of around ...

How to show favorite reports only
In IA report section, go to saved reports, there is a menu to mark them as favorite reports.
Just wondering how I can show favorite reports only since I only need them.

I'm also looking to integrate with subversion also for source control and I have some questions: 1. What are the pain points for getting manager to work with subversion? 2. Also were there any show stoppers when packaging and deploying into another project via subversion? I'm using DS8.5 in UNIX wit...
