I'm unclear why this was moved folders. We are using 9.1 Parallel Edition, but the job in question is a server job.
This issue does not pertain to Server Edition, only a server job.

"ORA-00942: table or view does exist" but it does.
I'm in the process of converting a job from 8.7 to 9.1 and getting an odd error. In my Sequence, I've got a job that with SQL collects the initial row count of the given table. This job is bombing out with the "ORA-00942: table or view does exist" error. However, the table does exist in th...

How to Output Multiple Job Logs
In my sequence, I've got a job that collects the row count on a table prior to loading. This job takes in the table name as a variable, so I can use this one 'pre-count' job for all of my tables. As it stands, if I want to look at the job log for a specific table in this job, I have to search back t...

Re: Load Multiple Tables, One Job Design Question
Very valid point. Being sort of new to parallel vs server, do you have a good guide as to use which when? One other thing, we'd rather have all of our jobs in our new 9.1 instead of having to toggle between new development in 9.1 an older jobs in 8.7. Would you suggest just copying over the 8.7 jobs...

Load Multiple Tables, One Job Design Question
We're in the process of converting 8.7 server to 9.1 parallel. We have hundreds of jobs, and considering perhaps consolidating some. For example, for a given user area we may have 5-10 jobs that are very basic loads of simple tables to be used as lookup tables. This jobs simply have a source sequent...

Ok, 'type' looks to be correct, but now it's not finding the file. I'm sure it never was. I'm getting: Output from command ====> sh: line 0: type: /path/path/filename.TXT: not found The structure '/path/path/filename.TXT' is what I use in my DS jobs and they write the files to the correct location. ...

With the Execute Command stage having it's own trigger tab, do I even need a Nested Condition? This will be the last action I want in the sequence. Check and see if an email (Notification Activity) needs to be sent. Also: ecstage_FirstLine: Command: head -n 1 /opt/IBM/test ecstage_SecondLine: Comman...

Having the counts included in the data is critical information that you left out of your initial problem description. I apologize. I didn't have that data all in one source until this morning. To both, having never written anything to 'the screen' yet. Do I do this in the 'Command:' line of the Exe...

If possible, I'd like to handle this within Datastage, so that rules out the shell script, unfortunately. 1) Merge Stage: I understand the Merge stage requires both inputs to have the same number of rows and outputs the same number. Currently, I have sequential file 1 (SF1) with essentially one colu...

Compare Two Values in Sequential File
We're running 9.1 with parallel jobs. However, we use a generic sequence that kicks of the parallel jobs to load the tables. This sequence gets the row count on the table before and after the table is loaded using server jobs in Job Activities and these counts are written to two separate sequential ...
