We can't use the IsNull function because we are using "runtime column propagation", so we can't use any transformers.chandra.shekhar@tcs.com wrote:In the transformer, are you using IsNull function for that column ?

dedesign on Unix server
Is it possibile to run dsdesign (or something similar that creates a graphical representation of a job) on a Unix server?
This is something that we would like to run on the server side, since it's part of an automated process that populates a metadata repository.
Thanks,
Andrea

Generate Report creates html, we need to export to a db
Ray, I came back to this activity after a long stop. I have tried your suggestion (Generate Report), but it doesn't do what we want. We need to export metadata regarding jobs and table definitions to a db. The Reporting Assistant tool does essentially the job, but it seems to have problems with larg...

New problem: duplicate keys + ADD FOREIGN KEY statements
After running the Oracle.sql script which creates the Oracle tables with the correct field types I tried to insert all the jobs and table definitions of one project, but I got a series of errors of type "unique constraint PK_TABLENAME violated". I decided to adopt a quick & dirty solut...

Ray, thanks for reminding me about the db creation script: after running the script everything works fine. It was my fault  , for those interested here is what I did and why: I noticed that the default Acces database contained all the relationships between tables, but the oracle.sql script did...

Reporting Assistant: literal does not match format string
I have a problem using Reporting Assistant (a feature available in Datastage Manager, under the Tools menu). Reporting Assistant allows me to download a lot of useful information to a database and it works ok using the standard database (Microsoft Access), accessed via ODBC. However, when I try to r...
