I want to install datastage 8.1 i am having Slq server 2005 as a server but the client installed in my datastage installable system is SQL server 2008 so will i be able to install the repository or i have to install client of SQL server 2005.

I have installed datastage 8.1 with DB2 as default repository on my system but due to some space constraint i want to move the datastage repository to microsoft SQLServer.

Is it possible to change the repository without reinstalling the datastage.

So what you will suggest should i use SQL server or DB2 as a repository...

During installtion of datastage server 8.1 on wondow 2003 i am encountering the following error after 64% completion of installation - FdatastageEngine34023 - the License could not be applied.

Can anyone tell me difference datastage version 8.1 and version 8.2.

Is datastage 8.2 is a seprate version released by IBM or its a patch upgradation in version 8.1
