TD Ent stage returns: Insufficient blocks for partition 2.

Have seen several posts regarding this error but it seems most of them were realted to a lookup. In my case the situation is a TD Enterprise stage feeding a Transformer. The following error occurs occassionally: TD_GET_EmailSuppresionInfo,2: Insufficient blocks for partition 2. Reading suppressed. I...

I could certainly be wrong because I have not done it myself, but I thought there was a way to set up an ODBC connection to a sequential file on a remote server.

Did check through old PMRs. Did not see any reference to the setting in there.

Now I must wait for my premium access re-purchase to be processed to see the rest of your message. Unfortunately I let it expire. :-(

apt_terasync_daemon_prog

I found environment variable apt_terasync_daemon_prog set to an IP address in DS administrator; however, I don't find it in either the Parallel Adevanced Developer Guide nor the Teradata Connectivity Guide.

Any idea what it is? And/or what is going to happen when I remove it?

we switched from -wait back to -jobstatus and the status code is now being set to 3.

Which is correct.

But I thought, -wait should return non-zero return codes also.

Terminator is set to abort without sending stop request.

And, as you can see from the log excerpt, the Sequence RMKD400W has aborted. Yet dsjob, even when submitted manually from the command line, still reports status code = 0

actually to be a bit more precise, the command is a sudo command to execute a script. In director I see the following: RMKD400W..JobControl (@TRANSFER2MAINFRAME): Command sudo did not finish OK, reply = '1' RMKD400W..JobControl (@Coordinator): Summary of sequence run 12:13:02: Sequence started (chec...

the command activity is an execution of a script that does an scp command to move data from one server to another.

Sequencer job status when command activity fails

dsjob is returning 0 even when command activity fails. I am working on a script that calls dsjob to submit a DS sequencer. The Sequencer contains job activities and command activities. The script is looking for the return code coming from the dsjob command expecting a non-zero value if anything fail...

I'm glad to hear that what I did SHOULD have worked because I thought I was beginning to understand it. However, it is not working even after doing the provision all. As a workaround I removed the words "casa" and "villa" from the classification file in the set and that seems to ...

I could not find a way to enter ? as the classification so I chose + Unknown word for both Casa and Villa. Testing though still leaves me confused: 234 CASA BONITA CIRCLE results in: UnhandledPattern = ^++T UnhandledData = 234 CASA BONITA CIRCLE InputPattern = ^++T 234 CAS BONITA CIRCLE results in: ...

How to hande addresses with Puerto Rican token

using the USADDR ruleset I am find addresses that contain a Puerto Rican (P) token somewhat problematic. for example: 122 Villa Oaks street has a token pattern of ^P+T sends the entire address to UnhandledData with an Unhandled Pattern of ^P++ I realize I could fix this by adding token patterns of ^...

Sort: DataStage vs. Unix

I've read through many posts here regarding sorts but, as often happens, I'm left with as many new questions as answers. What are the primary considerations when deciding between using the DataStage vs. Unix Sort? Is DataStage preferred for sorting datasets, and Unix for Sequential files? And, other...
