<No message available>
I really don't like posting messages for help with this little information, but, that's kind of the point of this post. I have a job failing with the following fatal message: TGT_STATUS: <No message available> That is the only error or warning message in the log. I'm obviously grasping at straws, bu...

Audit/Control Totals
I am working on a project to replace functionality that is currently in what has been called a job Wrapper. It is in a job named NewSequence. The actual code is DSBasic in the job control section of the job. I mention that because I am certain some folks will recognize it. I am still working my way ...

While trying to coax an ODBC connection to mainframe DB2 ro read in parallel I have encountered the error listed below. It appears as though the SQL statement has been mal-formed with the additional where clause. Is this a bug or am I doing something improper? How can I get the read done in parallel...

USAC version
How can I determine what USAC (US Address Certification) our system is using?
I have been asked this question in regards to an upgrade of the USPS CASS cycle.
We currently run version 8.0.1 fo DataStage/QualityStage. Is the USAC version the same?
Thanks,
Bob

Thanks Ray. We have been doing exactly as you recommend and have discovered that it does not seem to matter whether we submit from a sequencer or just submit the job from Director. We have submitted with dsjob and results are similar. When submitting via the sequencer we see the following in the job...

compiled-in default vs. from value file
We have a job that uses a paraemeter set value file which is being stubborn and refuses to pick up the values from the values file. When looking in the director log at parms the job is using ("double click Starting Job... entry) it shows [compiled-in default] rather than [from value file] as we...

The connection failed!
I've been working on getting the ODBC connector stage working for the first time at our shop. After resolving a few other issues I keep getting a little popup error window that simply says "The connection failed!" anytime I attempt to click the "Test" link (column heading) on the...

Is it necessary to bounce JVMs when chging code table values
We are using IBM's MDM. We have been told that anytime we change the data contained in the code tables (CDADMINSYSTP, IDENTSOURCETP, etc.) that we must bounce the JVMs to make that new data visible. That seems very unusual to me though I am not at all familiar with Java and JVMs. Is there any way to...

Maybe my thinking is flawed and if it is I'm sure many will tell me :-) However, it is my humble opinion (and therefore our shop standard) that only parallel jobs be used. This is for several reasons: 1. the vast majority of our jobs will be processing HIGH volumes of data 2. Our shop is completely ...

DB2_Connector on 8.0.1?
I know the DB2 Connector was released originally as a "patch". At least I think it was. Can it be downloaded for use on version 8.0.1?

Maybe a more specific question will be better at generatiing some response. What determines how data is distributed across the nodes when retrieving data from Teradata via the Teradata Enterprise stage? Is that a function of something within Teradata or is it a result of how the Section Leader or Co...
