Just two things that i can come up with.

missing .T30
and then to many sub-directories, i think it was 32K limit.

Besides not working, it will also make the hashfile very slow /


And please help your customer, find a solution, not a workaround... we have seen way to many workaround in DS

is there anything to see in the logfile for the sap connection ?

Does it connect to R/3 when you validate the job in production ?

Does it affact ALL your idoc load stages in production ?

user authorization problems perhaps ?

Are any rows sent to the stage ?

I was affraid that it was supposed to be that slow :o( And since we have some sharedcontainers that are used in about 30-50% of the application we often need to recompile most of the jobs - therefor we generally do a compile-all. But i guess we need to stick with DCS then. Might go the official way ...

Now back at work i've done some more investigation.

I can create categories in the xVersion projects.
In the default "Version" project the categories under sharedcontainers works as expected.

I think i'll initialize the projects before i try rebuilding anything.

You don't even need to open your shared containers, if you just run the job from the designer (debug), then the sharedcontainer will also be locked by you

Is it normal that the DS Manager doesn't show the categories under my sharedcontainer folder ?

In the version control project i can see all the categories when using the designer, but when i use the manager, they aren't there.
Is that normal ?

Hi, I assume that you have cheked your idocs and confirmed that they look okay. Also that you haven't moved from one SAP client to another after you have imported our metadata. Another thing is that when you extract the metadata for decimal fields, then DS sets them 1 to long - Dec 10 will become Ch...
