In case anyone still look at this topic, I resolve this problem by verifying the .odbc.ini file there was a missing bracket in the entry.

The document doesn't really give good example.. They should include proper example into the doc.

I've also notice.. when using ODBC Connection.. "table" read will get you this problem if there are VarGraphic datatype in the table.

But if you do a custome/user query and select normal datatype column.. it works.

For anyone who face this problem.. Do 2 things..

1) check if your config file is using "hostname"
2) check if your /etc/host on the server side points to the right "hostname"

It should be fine if they are in sync..

Reject for Target Stage

I've tried the same and cant seem to create reject links for ODBC Stage but are able to do it for oracle stages. Anyway from what i've encounter. When using ODBC stages and having records with errors, you should be able to get more description from the director log as compared to using native stages...
