If i understood correctly, are you asking me use Unix Scheduler instead of scheduling at Director ? What if i need to call the sequencer repeatedly. You might be right, But we need to think about restart option aswell. In real scenario, sometimes all tables except one might have gone fine. Is that job still running? If so, stop the job and make sure with your DBA that the table has not locked. Hope you are using OCI stage to insert the data. Is it direct load from Staging to all 6 tables or are you doing any transformations in middle. If there are no transformations in between, use 6 select reads and insert into tables. Do it parralelly so that the performance might increase if DB doesn't have bottleneck. My suggestion is write 6 differ...
