I want to setup a new connection for my datastage server (7.5) to a new SQL Server 2005 (64 Bit).
Where can I download the unix ODBC driver or is there any other way I can connect to the SQL Server 2005?

Thanks Ray, I am not currently working on a site with DataStage installation and do not have access to a PC with DataStage client installed. I was hoping to be able to do some reading on DataStage Enterprise before I start my next job. Cheers, Nima If you have DataStage client installed, all the man...

nima, How are you measuring the size of the hash file? If it is a default type 30 file you will have two actual OS files in a directory with the name of the file. These DATA.30 and OVER.30 files will contain your data, but the relationship between their content size (sum of bytes of keys and data) ...

Column SQL Type and hashed file size
Hi, I went through an analysis exercise by looking at the data types of each column and analyze all the data within the hashed file to see whether a more appropriate data type could be applied that take up less space. The purpose of this exercise was to see assigning appropriate SQL type would reduc...

temp delimited files that contains the delimited character
Hi,
Storing extracted data into (temporary) delimited files for subsequent processing within a DataStage job seems to be problematic when the data contains the delimiting character or embedded <CR><LF>.
I am wondering if there is a way around this problem.
Thanks Nima

Updating Hashed file via UniVerse Stage
Hi All, I want to update some of the columns in a hashed file using universe stage. The data type of one of the columns (UPDATE_STATE) is char (1).
