In the past we spent hours recreating the pivot elements by hand. Now we just flip the pivot type defintion from horizontal to vertical back to horizontal and recompile, a five second fix. Could almost pivot in delight.

We currently have Data Stage 8.1 on Linux sourcing data from an MS SQL 2005 box. An unresolved problem is that when we invoke a long running stored procedure in SQL, the ODBC connection times out regardless of settings and Data Stage reports the job as completed successfully when it hasn't completed...
