Addition of a new DataStage forum.
I'm new to the DSXchange and already this forum has had such a tremendous impact on my latest project at work. We have purchased a PeopleSoft Data Warehouse suite that comes bundled with Ascential DataStage. On the suggestion of a few other forum members, I was wondering if you could setup a specifi...

My bad Ray  I misinterpreted what you said. I thought you gave a class on behalf of PeopleSoft to teach customers. I was hoping there was an offering in the States of the same. I imagine they are still a bit off from developing their own in-house class on DataStage. I know that one of our grip...

That's odd, we have not heard a word from PeopleSoft about a DataStage class. We actually got a credit back from PeopleSoft because the folks we sent to their Data Warehouse training earlier this year were trained for Informatica. We basically told PeopleSoft that we wanted to be credited for the cl...

PeopleSoft EPM sites using DataStage on this forum...
Hate to clutter the forum with topics that aren't helpful to most, but I can't help but be curious if any other PeopleSoft users out there are using this forum. Most of us PeopleSoft EPM users are new to DataStage and I know there will be more of us as the year goes on. PeopleSoft is dropping suppor...

The licensing agreement with PeopleSoft allows you to install on as many boxes as you want up to 16 cpu's per box. Actually I don't know if that is how it was intended to work, but you could go that route if you wanted. Anything over 16 cpu's and you have to go through PeopleSoft to purchase more li...

Actually I don't have the VersionControl.pdf. Our DataStage Software is licensed and distributed to us through PeopleSoft. ::cringes:: The distribution they gave to us was a ZIP file of the software but no VersionControl.pdf is anywhere to be found. On a related note, I'm sure this forum will be ove...

The first code example gave the same result: demo:tstapl44>./bin/uv DEADLOCK.MENU exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program ./bin/uv because of the following errors: 0509-150 Dependent module libgciudt6.so could not be loaded. 0509-022 Cannot load module libgciudt6.so. 0509-026 System error: A file or di...

Running bin/uvsh works it puts me into the prompt and I can access commands like DEADLOCK.MENU. The whole premise behind my accessing the UV command shell was part of an Ascential webcast where they showed the command line entries to enable the deadlock daemon. Their suggested method was: $ cd `cat ...

Thanks for suggestion Ray, but its still not working. I checked the dsenv file and can verify that $DSHOME/lib is in the LIBPATH. I even went so far as to fully qualify it out and put it at the begining of the LIBPATH just incase for some reason $DSHOME is not getting defined correctly. Still it did...

uv command invoke errors out looking for a specific module.
I've seen several topics on this same issue but the recommendations described have not fixed my issue. When I invoke the uv command I'm getting this error: exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program uv because of the following errors: 0509-150 Dependent module libgciudt6.so could not be loaded. 0509-022 C...
