Thank you all - Every once in a while this job seems to have data issues and all 400K or 700K rows from input are rejected and that is when the logs get filled up. Because of this load would abort with -99 error, director cannot open the log etc.. But unless I know what those errors are we won't be ...

Report of users activity in DS
Is there any way to find out what users logged in to DataStage within a specific date range? Or maybe for me to generate a monthly report of all the users sessions in the past month.
Also, is there a way to report on all the commands issued by users via their Administrator client ?
Thanks

How can we import data from RT_LOG files
Looking for suggestions on how to retrieve and view data from the RT_LOGXXX files from a job - thanks in advance.
It looks like our log has exceeded the 2GB limit so takes forever and multiple attempts to open from director..

Purge logs - anything older than X number of days
Hi, Any advise on easiest routine or job that can be written to purge logs that are more than X number of days old ? Are all the logs in files or in XMETA or a combination of both for 8.1 release ? The problem is that though we had the auto-purge settings in development, when the project was created...

so, if out of the 30 odd sequences maintained by the SDKSequences, if only one starts having this problem occasionally, it has to be a malicious process/task updating it correct? How can we monitor and identify the root cause if something like this happens. I wanted to make sure that there is no Data...

Thank you Ray and Craig There is no job in the project that writes to the SDKSequence file directly and our admins have assured us that there was no restore to the project directory at all. That leaves us with the only possible explanation to be - that someone had run the Update SKDSequences in the ...

KeyMgtGetNextValue returning duplicate surrogate keys
This is a strange one. We are using KeyMgtGetNextValue routine to assign surrogate keys when inserting records to the warehouse tables. Load runs fine for days and months and out of the blue, the load aborts with 'cannot insert duplicate key' errors. So, for example, if a table that is loaded everyd...

The inner sequence had warnings in the first run, but when restarted, it says 'Sequence being restarted after failure.. skipped job 1, skipped job 2, reset job 3 and successfully completed job 3 followed by a successful completion of job 4. No warnings at all in the part of the log when restarted, b...
