Another way to do this is to combine the data and reference files together with some kind of flag and let QS split the input file into two. (D for data and R for reference for instance). I find this approach much quicker and less of a maintenance nightmare. The match result extract file will not be ...

Last thing I want to see is merger with ADN. These two distinct places work differently. I'd say get some pop-up advertisement and make users to be able to chose between normal and premium services. If the user doesn't sign up, bomb them with pop up, if the user is willing to pay, then eliminate pop...

Too bad they don't teach COBOL any more  HEre's what you can do.. If you are absolutely and positively sure that the first 9 chars of (CARDHID) are the same as the PHSSN, define two other varibles such that it will work like redefines in COBOL. It will look like : CARDHID 1 12 CARDIDL 1 9 CARD...

Ok, how weird is this, I am replying to my own post  Turns out that just putting -dsjob -lprojects is not enough. (Even tough the Server Job Developer's Guide pg.19-132 says so). Despite the fact that I am logged in the server and I am trying to execute this on the server, I would still need to...

Dsjob Status Code: 39204
I have been trying to run the DSJob command with "dsjob -lprojects". When I first log on to the server I am able to get the results as the list of projects. Then I run the dsjob -ljobs <projectname> and that gives me the Status Code of 39204. The weird thing is, when I type "dsjob -lp...

Sumit, two answer your question, you can open the ftp connection from the UNIX machine to the Windows one. If the files are within the same network, then it's good. That wasn't the case when I was working on the file transfers with the other subsidiary. I guess you know what I am talking about :) Go...

Sumit, since I am familiar with your project  I am not sure if this will work with the SOX rules. As far as I remember the ftps that you are planning to do are on the different network that you will be accessing. Am I correct in that? Then protecting the data during the transport becomes an iss...
