The best solution is to upgrade to version 8.5, where there's a totally re-architected XML Transformer stage (in the parallel canvas). Otherwise track down a copy of XML Best Practices. (Search DSXchange to find one.) It's the issue of length specified for the column was shorter then incoming messa...

Read very high volume sorted sequential file
Hello, I have a sequential file with 2000 million records which is already sorted on key1,key2 and key3. I am reading this file using a sequential file stage running in sequential mode and then hash partitioning the data after reading on Key1. Seq stage -> copy stage (input hash on key 1) -> Dataset...

MQGet from datastage job
We have a scenario where in we need to read a message from a queue as soon as it is in and process using datastage. Is it possible to trigger datastage job which reads a message from this queue as soon as it is in queue. or do we need to have a separate trigger mechanism

Hi, Yes. And i've read in a blog yesterday that immediate read works in sequential mode only. I've tried a sample job using bulk mode to read data. I'm getting an error. Error info - Teradata_Connector_0,0: [IIS-CONN-TERA-005004] RDBMS code 21012: Could Not Find Message Catalog opermsgs.cat SQL stat...

Hi, No the job did not abort. Its completing normally. But the teradata stage is running in sequential mode. I've monitored the job in Director. For other parallel stages apart from teradata, it showed operator name X 2. example: peek x 2. It means it should be running on two nodes. Also in the logs...

Teradata connector stage - immediate mode
Hi, I'm using teradata connector to read data from teradata db. I have gone through documentation and came to know that to achieve parallel reads parallel synchronization property has to be set. I'm using a 2 node configuration. When i tried reading in immediate mode i'm not able to acheive parallel...

DB2 on mainframe
Hi,
I am using DS v8.1 on UNIX. I need to access DB2 database on mainframe. Is it true that DB2 Enterprise Stage can not connect to DB2 on mainframe. Is DB2 API stage the only option i have to connect to DB2 on mainframe.
Thanks in advance.
