Re: How do you make changes to USFIRSTN.TBL ?
In version 7.x, the USFIRSTN.TBL file could be edited and first names added (to identify BOBB as ROBERT and as a Male). However, in version 8.0, I see no obvious way to add a name, its cooresponding MatchFirstName and GenderCode to the FIRSTN.TBL file. Any suggestions for this in 8.0? Thanks! If yo...

Re: Appending entries in the reference table in QS rulesets
There are work around, but I would suggest to add the new entries using the Rule Management GUI in the classification page.... iIf you add the new entries this way, when a new version of QS came out you won't be hit .... Doble click on the Standardization Rule in the designer, when the Rules manage...

Appending entries in the reference table in QS rulesets
I identified a big list( some 50) of colony names which are not present in the reference table for same in the the rulesets. I tried adding the new list to that table, saved, provisioned the rule set. But the job is not running because of this. Is there a workaround for appending the colony names li...

What were their previous values, who advised these changes, and (did they explain) why changing these values fixed the particular problem? For that matter, what was the real, underlying, original problem? The APT_DEFAULT_TRANSPORT_BLOCK_SIZE was 131072 initially which was not in line with the requi...

Simplistically, if you have a job with stages S1, S2, S3 and S4 (ideally handling XML, but not essential), you add an RTI input stage on the front and an RTI output stage on the back, and expose the w ... We are not taking the RTI call way ( from QS appl that is). Instead, just adding XML input and...

Hard to say what to advise you here, except that you need to start breaking things down to find out where it works and where it blows up. Reduce it dramatically. Follow your XML stage with a transformer and exclude all but maybe 3 columns and maybe 1 row. Be certain that they are 100% character. Se...

How much have you tested the first job? Is the file you created exactly as you expected? Are the formats everything that you need? Sounds like the file is not getting created as you expected, or that the metadata in the second Job is not correct when reading that file. Have you used the Sequential ...
