Hello Julio and Sreeni my apologies for not providing more information. The records are considered matched if they have the same name and location. For location comparisons we use a combination of the following fields. Address Zip Phone If a supplier has the same name but we are certain that its loc...

Thanks for your reply Ray. I checked the console and majority of the users are set as DataStage Quality Stage Users only. The only problem we have is if we set an AIX user for credential mapping who is not a member of the dsquadm it does not allow us to login with the error shown in my previous post...

Thanks for all your help. The issue was related to the logging changes for release 8.1. For some reason the logging for the operational repository (xmeta) was not working correctly. We changed the settings to use the local project level log files (RT_LOGxxx) and it worked. Changes made in the DSPara...

The only thing I can think of is that the user's credentials aren't sufficient for write access to the project directory and/or the log files. ... Thanks for your input ArndW. I tried to clear the log of an old job which was generated before the LDAP switch via the Director Client and was able to d...

Director Job Log Empty

Hello Everyone,

We recently switched to an LDAP repository for authentication. Everything seems to be working fine except for the job log in the Director -- it does not populate. All we see are blank job logs. Did we miss anything during the switch?

Thanks.

Hello,

As a workaround I just requested the script to be executed by the AIX administrators. Thanks.

WebSphere Application Server file/directory permissions.

Hello Everyone, I am trying to implement an LDAP server to use as our user registry. When I try to restart the application server I keep on getting permission errors on the files/directories. When I check the WAS files/directories all of them are owned by root:system. Can anyone tell me if these fil...

Thanks Julio! That did it... ^_^

The manual mentioned the link ordering for the output links; my bad I should have assumed this should also be true for the input links.

Thanks again!

Thanks for your help ArndW, db2 can load the file directly from an IXF format. Right now we will just be creating a script to do the loading for us and just call it from DS. Hopefully they come up with updates that would allow us to work with IXF files directly from DS.

Thanks again.

Hello ArndW,

Thanks for your help, I'll just call the FTP process from outside DS as you suggested. Have you tried working with IXF files? I could again create a script and run the load/extract from the command line but I want to use DataStage's tools as much as possible.

Thanks.

IXF file transfer and load

Hello Everyone, I am trying to replace an existing job we have using DataStage. To give you guys a background here is the steps I would be working with: - Pick up a file (filename.tar.gz) from a remote server and uncompress it. - Load the uncompressed IXF file (filename.ixf) into a DB2 database. - P...
