Thats the ticket!

Thanks,

That is exactly what I was looking for but I couldn't find it quickly.
The amount of data on this forum has grown so much that there was about 6 -7 hundred posts on Sql Server.

Great tip on acrobat. A work around for lack of a master index.

How do you connect to Sql Server 2000 through ODBC

I searched the forum but did not find a comprensive list on how to accomplish this. Can anyone point me to the appropriate place or direction. I am pretty much just looking for the .odbc.ini entry. If there is anything else I need besides the uvodbc.config entry let me know. Is there a stage that ca...

I am halfway through the first page and I found 2 spelling errors. I am not even a good speller. Manny enhancements poscket PCs  Hopefully this isn't an indicator of bugs in the code. These errors should have been found if someone read the release notes. I am affraid to turn ...

What happened to the Web Site! Pages expires

When I do a search I link to the topic, when I try to go back the page already expired even if it is one second.
Can someone modify to put it back the way it used to be, or at least change the expiration to 5 Minutes.

Thanks,

try this?

I have received this error many times using aggregators. What would cause an exisitng job to blow-up would be that the size of the input is getting bigger and it doesn't fit in memory.

You can try sorting your data and sending it to a sequential file before using it as input into an aggregator.

You can hit escape to cancel out of your changes before the save. So why not enable it or at least ctrl -s. I lose work this way if there are network issues and I get dropped. Additionaly, I lose time by having to go out of the transform to do a save and then come back in. Rainy season is going to s...

Can you Save inside a transform

Do you have to close a transform to get back to the designer to do a immediate save of the transform you just modified.

If so why?

Hi, Len(Trim(<string>)) will be equal to zero for both @NULL & empty string values. IHTH, Didn't work, The problem is that I have about 500 thousand records on the input file and the log doesn't tell me which ones are having the problem. If I use the debugger everything is fine, no erro...

just a thought, have you tested for an empty string?

IHTH,
Is a empty string "", if it is I didn't, I thought IsNull will pick up an empty string. I think I misread the documentation. I'll try it.

Phantom Error Not in Log for Debugger but it is for regular

Why do I not get the phantom error in the log when running the debugger?, but it is in there for a regular run. I am getting the following error which I received many times before and corrected by going to the line in the trans2 file in RT_BP(jobnumber). DataStage Job 961 Phantom 20315 Program "...

Re: Output Hash File Does not Modify Orginal creation Lengt

I deleted the links in and out and the hash file and used default names to force a new hash and did the set-up again. I would really like to know the correct way to do this, because now the original hash file will be out there in never never land until somebody manually determines what it is ...
