I used Oracle 10g instead because it's supported.

I got it to work with 10g.. it was good to know about install.liborchoracle for the windows version as I wasn't able to find that in the documentation.

I finally got this working. My problem was with my environment variables setup. In the windows control panel, I noticed that there were "user -defined" as well as system variables. By putting all the variables in the appropriate "user defined" or system sections I was able to get...

Hello,

I was recently asked, in regards to a datastage job if I knew "data profiling."

Are there any "data profiling" tools or methodologies that one would be able to carry out using datastage 7.5 or 8?

solved it

I used UltraEdit to convert the line terminators to CR/LF (DOS).

Problem was on the Save in UltraEdit needed to specify CR/LF in the save as window - was on default even though the UltraEdit was configured to DOS by default.
