Re: Arrr! Thar be DS jobs in that thar project
So the issue was: The Client INSISTED that all RDBMS including the xmeta be created using US7ASCII as the NLS charcter set for the initial install. xmeta will not function correctly as US7ASCII. It must be according to IBM: AL32UTF8. So the reinstall was done the same as the first time except the RD...

Re: DRS stage:Inserted value too large for column ,row rejec
This is most likely LOSSY data at the source that has been compressed. Is your source data base NLS a 7 bit? The IPC should say the row number that is rejecting. Do a SQL Select (on the source DB) using the SQL from the Director log for the problem job and locate the row number given by the error me...

US7ASCII DB can have 8Bit data inserted into it
The Character set enabled at the entry device(Keyboard) may have latin accents enabled. The data entry person can then enter these into the GUI and the DB will compress the 8Bit data into a 7Bit field (Lossy data). This data will then appear to be wingdings, Arabic, upside down question marks etc. I...

Display and Import errors for SOME jobs
I have a previous post that concerned SOME DS jobs showing Un-plugged wall sockets in place of the DRS stage icon. NOT a memory issue. Have run through shmtest, uvconfig alters, regens, all the sys and err logs. No issues identified by support with those. As a last ditch effort to dicover a solution...

Some jobs in Designer have unplugged wall outlet Icon
Some not all of the jobs delivered have an unplugged wall outlet as their icon. These are in-place of the DRS Stage and the IPC icon. Also, the Link is missing where these occur. The jobs appear to function normally aside from not showing performance in designer. Another issue with some of the deliv...
