I had intended to say that the field has the length and type as Decimal 8 in both ODBC and Teradata.But somehow it is displayed as a smilie.Appologize for the inconvinience.

Transaction Isolation Level

While using OCI stage I could find a tab for Transaction Isolation Level.There are three options in this viz. Read Committed, Serializable and Read Only. Can somebody explain what is the difference between these three options and in what exact situation these are useful.

Ranking the data both from above and below

Hi all, I have to extract top 10 sales man (in terms of number of units they have sold) and bottom 10 sales man.The data is coming through a comma separated flat file. Can I get the top and bottom 10 sales man from this data file without putting the data into any temporary table???Please suggest.

I agree with you Sarvanan.You are correct.This problem comes when any of the file has no records.I had faced the same issue.If both the files have records then this issue never comes up.
