Is there a server edition with v8.x?

Hi there,

I may had been heared that Datastage does not have a server edition with v8.x, only enterprise (parallel) edition for 8.x. Is this the case? Some posts here state a server edition with v8.x. This confuses me.

Thanks,

SQLFetch: Error retrieving results from server

Hi,

Currently jobs keep failed at "SQLFetch: Error retrieving results from server." and more and more jobs have the problem.

What's the problem: Datastage side or DB2 side? How is the problem fixed?

Thanks,

It's stopped by another job having trouble. These jobs are running in parallel.

Thanks for all your responses. Now I know what's the problem. The key word here is "Allow multiple Instance" Job. It is the attach command. Only when this command succeeds, other operations can be followed. If it's executed once from a regular sequence job with a job activity, it can be at...

Thanks Craig.

What happens for those do not support returning multiple look up results when a search yields more than one records? Do they just pick up one randomly and return to users?

Thanks,

What Data Sources Support Multiple Look Up Results?

Hi there, Multiple look up results means one searching returns more than one results if more than one records meet the search criteria. Thanks, Chulett.

That means if the job log is too big, such as hundred thousand entries, then it will hurt the job performance. Is this right?

Another question, are all UV tables stored as hash files?

Thanks,

Database Lookup return multiple results

Hello every one,

If a DB2 or ODBC Reference lookup results in multiple results, can all of them be returned? But not just
XfAddress..Email_E_Trns: Reference lookup generated 2 rows. Only the last row was used.

Thanks,

Show the true value for environment variable

When an environment variable with $PROJDEF as default value is used in a job as a job parameter, I hope the true value for the parameter is showed as the job is being launched, instead of $PROJDEF, like it is now.
