No, but a quick search showed that it is just what I need. I'll configure it, test it and then close this post.
Thank you for the tip.

Clenaup residual processes after abort
Hello,
Is there a way to automatically get rid of residual processes on the server after a job aborts? I tried with a Terminator stage that should end the job gracefully but I still have to manually cleanup those orphaned processes on the server.
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I can connect to the project via dssh and can query the repository table DS_JOBS. I found out which RT_LOG is the one for my job and checked its size. It is close to 1GB. I could clear the RT_LOG. However since I can connect and log into the project with dssh but not with the c...

After massive logging activity cannot login to DS
Hello, One of our production jobs started filling its log file with millions of messages. After that we could not stop it and any attempt to login to any project failed. We had to ask the root user to kill the job's processes. In the proces we also kill existing client connections. We rebooted the W...

Oracle GoldenGate and DataStage
Hello,
I would be curious to know whether anybody has worked on an installation where Oracle GoldenGate was used as CDC tool to push changes to DataStage for transformation and loading, and what comments they might have on this solution.
Thank you.

ODBC connection to 4d database
Has anyone been able to connect to a 4d database system from DataStage? We are running DataStage in SunOS 5.10, but the product seems to only have ODBC drivers for Windows/Mac.

You certainly may but before I go down the reinstallation route I would like to understand why in development I get the results I need without the NLS install. I read several posts that state that it is not necessary to do an NLS install when all that is needed is a straight move of the data from so...

Ray, your comment suggests that a DataStage NLS installation installs a number of character sets on the server. In development and in production the NLS button in Administrator is disabled so we do not have an NLS installation. I do not know how all those character sets got installed on the developm...

Missing character sets on DS server
Hello, We are in a PeopleSoft EPM 9.0 environment (Solaris, Oracle 10g, DataStage Server 7.5.2). Source and target databases have the same character set settings: select value from nls_database_parameters where parameter = 'NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET';--AL16UTF16 select value from nls_database_parameter...

Capturing deleted hashed records count
Hello, I have a job that deletes hashed file records using a UV stage. I would like to take a count of the records that will be deleted but I do not like the solution of a SELECT COUNT(*) before the DELETE. I would like to know whether there is a way of capturing the count of the deleted records as ...
