Can you supply the actual "end messages" that you see in your job, and what you would actually expect. The original mail is a bit confusing.

Re: how to do file Attchement option for sending mail
The only way I've found sofar is to launch a UNIX script and do it yourself, using mule e.g. or using a combination of uuencode/mailx

I really don't think that can be true, Ogmios... at least not for us when working with Oracle via the OCI stage. Perhaps it's different when using ODBC, couldn't say as we typically don't. :? We use OCI, DB2 and ODBC stages... since we've been bitten a few times a couple of years ago we made a &quo...

Re: (DECIMAL 17,2) 14.12345 --> 14.12
As easier answer:
Ans = FMT(14.12345, 'R2')
Or
Ans = FMT(14.12345, 'T2')
First 1 rounds at 2, last one truncates at 2.

I hope that what you write to with DataStage is not a data warehouse, or I have hunch you have some architectural problems. In that case, run to the library/bookstore and get all Kimball books :wink: For your current problem, the problem is that you can't process data which is not there. The standar...

Re: Deletion of records from a CDC File
You're a little vague on what you do and what you want. E.g. what is "productionised"... :wink: Are you trying to say that when Sales Reps are deleted from your production system, they are not deleted in your datamart/warehouse. If this is the case I think you might miss the point of kimba...

I got it a few months ago when I cold installed DataStage V7.5.1 on a Solaris F15K. Every job you started got a warning about NLS and hash files. Will check my old mails on monday for the actual error message. I checked with Ascential support and I got an answer back saying that NLS should be switch...

Repository rebuild checking
Every few months of running DataStage contineously, it starts behaving oddly (missing jobs/weird errors in Director) and then most of the times a rebuild/reindex of the repository indexes solves our problem. I remember a discussion a time ago on this forum on how to check whether a rebuild is requir...

Re: Unable to open job from designer
To paraphrase something of "Police Academy"... this has been discussed many many many many many many many times ![Wink :wink:](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
Search this forum for "unlock jobs" ... the answer should pop up a couple of times.
