Thanks. For now I will try to setup the Information analyzer to profile from flat files To make it read TXT and CSV files I defined the following driver in .odbc.ini and made an entry into uvodbc.config Driver=/usr/IBM/InformationServer/Server/branded_odbc/lib/VMtxt22.so Description=DataDirect TextF...

Information Analyzer and Access
We have the tool installed on AIX version 5.3
It is a unix based tool
Can information Analyzer access MS Access databases.
If yes how.
Can information Analyzer access flat files to profile or is it pretty much tied to databases which can be accessed via drivers on the unix hosts

Difference between NVarchar and ustring
What is the difference between setting a meta data to be
NVarchar
vs
Varchar with extended Unicode property set
One thing I found is if NLS is not installed we do not get the option of setting the extended property
Where would should one use vs the other

Ok I resolved it but I woud still not mind an explanation on how it really worked After spending a long time going over post in this forum and looking aimlessly at my warning message, I decided to make the description column to be NVARCHAR at sequential file and the target BW field meta data to be N...

Hi All Thanks for the responses :-) Just kidding.. I know this is kind of tricky but thought of responding back with the answers we found after several tries with IBM support. Apparently when you invoke a process chain ONE MUST GIVE OR PASS A INFOPACKAGE along with the process chain to invoke. That ...

Invoking a PROCESS CHAIN in SAP BW
We would like to invoke a PROCESS CHAIN in BW which would in turn run BW PULL infopackages to invoke DATASTAGE jobs to load data to BW. First Problem It seems we cannot invoke a process chain without associating it with a INFOPACKAGE. In order to invoke a process chain we have defined a dummy INFOPA...

SAP BW Process Chains
We are using version 8.0.1 and the associated versions of BW packs I have a question on invoking PROCESS chains. It seems I have to give a infopackage and CANNOT simple kick off a process chain. We designed a process chain that will pull or invoke two datastage jobs to get data and flow the data all...
