we tried the easy solution, restoring the backup, but it seems we only have a backup that allready has this problem. So I did the steps you suggested. The produced file has a lot of entries: - Date/time stamp in file header has been modified! - RESIZE: Invalid file name, sizing parameter, or option ...

We don't have a recent dsx backup, we do have a filesystem backup but that's always a risk, since this isn't done when the server is down. Currently we are creating a backup, from client commandline it does seem to work. I would still like to try and fix it before reverting to the backup. What objec...

nameless folder appears, project corrupt?
hi, We have a 7.5 project which got corrupt. We cannot logon with director or manager( it works for other projects on the same machine). We can however still logon with designer. When we do this we see a nameless folder directly under the jobs folder, which has a copy of the complete folder structur...

I think there's 2 part to this issue. we had both these issues seperately: - we had issues with jobs that run fine, but still return status 99 to the flow or to the dsjob command that started this. There is a patch for this, but this didn't solve our problem completely (it helped though) - multi ins...

returning to the first topic of the post: Never use Basic transformers. An extra reason not to use them: If you log something with IBM support where you have a basic transform in the job they will not look for the issue, they will point to the basic transform. (expect conversations like:I get an err...

Arndw, I'm also getting the error for BASIC_Transformer_9,0: Unable to open project '<the project name>' - 81016. We recently moved to a 2-server configuration in stead of just one. Does this mean we have to try to get rid of all our basic transformers, or the second server will be unused by all the...

hi, did you get a real solution from IBM for this? I feel we have a simular problem but IBM tells us that Following my investigations on DataStage architecture it appears that you cannot run more job in a second than the number of CPU installed on the server, there would be a dispatch issue. This is...

multi-instance :can't start together
Hi, We are currently migrating from 7.5 to 8. All our jobs indivdually run fine, but when we start scheduling everything fails. We've been able to track this down to a multi-instance job which is used in all our flows. If this is triggered to start too much at the same moment(with other invocationid...

temp error on wrong directory.
hi, We have a basic transformer in a parallel job. Sometimes we get the error as below. TransformToStaging,0: dspipe_init(6788): open(/tmp/ade.TNGPRD.TINA_ARB_ACCOUNT_00_Parent.#0.TransformToStaging.LINENewSnapshot-Output) - No such file or directory Main problem is not really the error, but the fac...
